The Wild Roses of South Tyrol
In a project being conducted for several years, since 2001, the species of Wild Rose (Rosa spp.) native to South Tyrol have been surveyed, collected, and identified. The goal of these surveys is to determine which species are present and how widespread they are. This is based upon data from the general floristic mapping conducted since the 1960s, as well as upon focused surveys and collections from 2001, 2002, and 2005.
